Save our Green Belt
Elmbridge Borough Council has started a period of consultation on their proposals to remove Green Belt status for three areas in the borough, including land between Stoke D'Abernon and Oxshott.
If successful, it could mean up to 1,000 new homes in our area.
The Elmbridge Borough Council's proposals to remove Green Belt status from land in our area is meeting strong opposition from residents. Around 300 people attended a meeting at the United Reformed Church, where the residents' association pointed out flaws in the councils' proposals, and provided residents with a range of possible responses to the council's consultation questionnaire.
